The Sarasota Woodturners Club is involved in a number of initiatives to help the less fortunate or to show its support for our military and veterans.

• Each year, our club members turn and donate approximately 250 bowls to the All Faiths Food Bank for their annual Bowls of Hope fund raising event.

•  We turn and donate wig stands to the American Cancer Society so that the stands can be offered free of charge to women undergoing chemotherapy treatment.

• To date, our club members have turned over 250 pens for the Freedom Pens Project which provides custom, hand-crafted pens to American servicemen and women overseas.
